MKN Conferences

 MKN annually sponsors conferences for staff members and for students.  The MKN Spring Conference is for MKN members and celebrated its 30th Anniversary last year.  It is usually held in April.  MKN also sponsors both pre-college and college level conferences for TRIO participants in the region.

 The Student Leadership Conference is for pre-college students.  It is provided to instill in the students a strong sense of leadership and help them develop the skills needed to become leaders among their peers. This conference is held during the summer.

 At the college level, MKN offers the Adult Student Leadership Conference to accomplish those same goals for adult students. MKN also sponsors the Ronald E. McNair Heartland Research Conference offering college undergraduates the opportunity to present their research in a friendly (yet formal) academic setting, meet other McNair Scholars, explore opportunities for graduate study, and possibly qualify for a scholarship. These Conferences are held during the Fall of the academic year.
