• Networking - We provide a forum for you to collaborate and share ideas, techniques, innovations, and encouragement with other professionals in this specialized field.

• New Professionals Workshop - MKN provides a New Professionals Workshop for professionals new to TRiO or new to TRiO administration. The workshop provides essential management and programming information. Get your feet solidly on the ground.

• Emerging Leaders Institute - We provide opportunities for your professional and personal growth, including opportunities to participate in workshops and conferences and in leadership training through the Emerging Leaders Institute. A new class of emerging leaders is sponsored each year.

• Student Leadership Conferences - We provide growth opportunities for your TRiO students through the Student Leadership Conferences. These annual events focus on either secondary or postsecondary TRIO student population, giving them leadership training and development at a regional conference.

• Reduced Registration Fees - MAEOPP members attend annual regional conferences at reduced rates. The annual meetings allow TRIO personnel the opportunity to analyze, modify and develop new methodologies for working with students. They also allow for networking with other TRIO personnel.

• The TRIO Link - Our newsletter features national, regional and state news, legislative issues relevant to TRIO and other educational opportunity programs.

• Representation on the National Level - Your support of MAEOPP and MKN also supports the efforts of the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), and gives you important representation at the national level. We work closely with COE and the Department of Education to educate members of Congress on issues important to TRiO and on your TRiO project's purpose, needs, and successes.

• Membership Directory - A directory is produced each year with complete personnel information.

You only need to fill out one application form for both MAEOPP and
MO-KAN-NE.

• Seeking to improve the curriculum, counseling and/or professional standards of nontraditional students.
