2026 MKN Annual Conference UB/UBMS/ VUB Grant Writing Workshop Pre Conference Session Workshop 9 am -1 pm Non-Member Rate - UB/UBMS/VUB Grant Writing Workshop - Monday and Tuesday Monday UB Grant Writing Pre-Con: 12:30-6:00 PM - with 30-minute snack break Tuesday UB Grant Writing/ Innovated Best Practices Room split in 2: 9:00 AM -1:00 PM Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math Science/Veterans Upward Bound Program Design Workshop with Lucy Jones and Anna McDonald Monday 12:30 PM-6:00 PM Tuesday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Day 1: Learn an overview of best practices to effectively build an Upward Bound, an Upward Bound Math Science or a Veterans Upward Bound program. MKN invites you and your team to an engaging preconference workshop led by Mrs. Lucy Jones, TRIO Consultant. The workshop will focus on enhancing your program design by learning about different strategies and emphasizing how to incorporate required services. Attendees will learn what it takes to build, implement, and execute one of these federal grant programs. Start early with your program improvements by reviewing and examining best practices for program implementation with an experienced TRIO consultant and trainer with over 30 years' experience. Day 2 (half day): Take a deeper dive into programming design for a specific program. Lucy Jones will lead the session for Veteran Upward Bound and Anna McDonald will lead the session for Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math Science programs. Registration covers the two-day workshop. Day 1 will run from 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Lunch and a snack break are included in the registration price. Day 2 will run from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy - Refunds for cancellation of conference registration will be given ONLY when a written cancellation request is submitted to the Conference Registration Committee (mokanne-annconference@eoa.org) by March 20, 2026. A processing fee of $50 shall be assessed against all canceled registrations. If a written cancellation is not received before March 20, 2026, refunds will not be possible. On invoices - Refunds (minus a $50 processing fee) for cancellation of registration will be given ONLY when a written cancellation request is submitted to the Conference Registration Committee (mokanne-annconference@eoa.org) by March 20, 2026.
